| Founded in April 2005, #DeviantDolls is a group for female-centric art. This is a creative environment, allowing you to promote your own work and to support other artists. Dolls are encouraged to treat other members as they wish to be treated, so if you submit your art here it makes sense that you take the time to check out other submissions. Each Doll is able to submit 3 deviations each month. This doesn't mean that you have to submit 3 deviations per month, just that you can. We're a HUGE group with over 5,500 members and over 10,000 watchers, so submission limits are necessary. The posting limit may be changed when Contests or Events are running, but you will be notified of this in a blog entry so you know what's going on. We do not accept Moderators or Contributors right off the bat; we will announce when we are accepting applications. Deviant Dolls does NOT Accept everything! If the moderators feel your work does not meet the guidelines, it will be declined. If you are not mentally prepared to have your work potentially declined, do NOT submit work to this group! If work is declined for reasons you do not understand, feel free to contact the moderators and ask for reasons; however, keep in mind that any personal attacks on the moderators (which unfortunately happen) will result in instant banning from the group.  QualityYou don't need to be a professional at your chosen medium, but please ensure that you submit ONLY your best work (we'll come back to that later). Works in progress, happy snaps, quick doodles etc aren't suitable for submission here. ThemesThis is a group geared for women, girls, females of any kind and those who appreciate and love the female form, so it makes sense that this isn't the place for images which are disrespectful of or demeaning to women. Fetish, glamour and artistic nude are generally fine and some horror images are welcome. If you submit horror work that isn't accepted due to it's content, you are welcome to visit #FrightClub to find more groups and projects where your horror images will be at home in. RepetitionIn the interests of keeping our gallery fresh and interesting to look at, please don't submit more than one photo from each set that you shoot. Pick your own favourite to submit here. EtcPlease don't submit screenshots to the group's gallery. deviantIDs are permitted but must be of a high enough quality to be considered art. Please only submit genuinely artistic IDs. Our DisgressionBecause we don't base our acceptance or rejections on our individual taste, it is YOUR responsibility to ensure that you are only submitting your best work to the group. The founders and moderators aren't out to hurt, offend or upset any of the Dolls so if your work is rejected, you are welcome to comment in the Submission Process and ask why. We're super-busy here and the group is HUGE so it might take a little time to get back to you but we'll do our best.  Only Exception:- As of Summer 2011 have one limit, of which we try to be open minded with, but due to the high volume of members and watchers who are underage, we do have a policy regarding sexual content. This judgement is done by digression and is voted on by several of the moderators. About submitting your best work... Your submissions to #DeviantDolls should be the art that you are most proud of, the art that you see in your own gallery and think I can't believe I made something THAT good! Work which violates ANY deviantART policies and terms of service will NOT be accepted here, so no porn and no underage anything!  SUGGESTING FAVES Members can submit up to 5 faves per week, subject to voting. If your work is declined from the gallery, please DO NOT suggest it to the faves gallery. Likewise, please do not submit your own work to the Faves gallery, just to get around the submission limit, as submission-bombing is not acceptable. Please understand that violating this guideline will be considered spam, which is not welcome here. NEW - CRITIQUE ME If you venture into the Dolls' gallery, you'll see a new folder called Critique Me. This is where you can submit art that you would like to receive detailed and constructive feedback. While you might submit work to other folders simply to promote your work, the Critique Me folder is ONLY for requesting critiques. Each member may submit ONE piece of art per month to the Critique Me folder. Keep in mind that Critique Me pieces must still meet the other guidelines! |

We are currently having issues finding enough moderators to vote, since our founder is unavailable, co founder is very busy, and I don't have the privileges to add more. It's reached the point where very few submissions are currently beign accepted, I couldn't even submit a journal entry for this because there was no one to accept it. So right now there is very little point submitting artwork, as it probably won't be accepted. You've got a better chance with Critique Me though, as contributors can vote on that. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and will try and get more mods as soon as we can.
